What buyers usually ask before they connect their first sensor.

How do SensorTree sensors connect to the platform?

Devices send their readings to the SensorTree platform over the internet using MQTT. Depending on the model, a sensor connects over Wi-Fi or through a gateway. Each product page lists the connection it supports.

Can I monitor my sites from my phone?

Yes. Every reading, alert and control is available in the web dashboard and the SensorTree mobile app, so you can check every site from anywhere with an internet connection.

How do alerts work?

You set limits for each sensor channel and choose a severity. When a reading crosses a limit, SensorTree notifies the right people by app, email or SMS. If nobody acknowledges the alert, reminders repeat and the alert escalates to the next person.

Can SensorTree switch my equipment on or off?

Yes, for compatible devices with control outputs. You can switch them manually from the dashboard, run them on a schedule, or let automation rules act when a reading changes, such as turning a pump on when a tank runs low.

What is included in a platform plan?

Each plan sets how many users, devices and how much data storage your account includes, from Bronze up to Platinum. Larger or multi-site projects get a custom plan. Sensors and gateways are purchased separately.
